Postpartum Doula Support

Education-based guidance and support for families navigating the early weeks with a new baby.

Early parenthood is a time of profound learning and change.

Even when everything is going well, the transition to life with a new baby can feel disorienting. Feeding, recovery, shifting relationships, and the quiet weight of responsibility all arrive at once. Most families are left to figure it out on their own.

Imagine having a steady guide to walk that path with you — someone who understands this experience, offers evidence-based guidance, and helps you find your footing as you move through it.

I offer thoughtful support through the early weeks of parenthood, helping you build confidence and navigate the unexpected turns along the way.

About Sadie

I’m Sadie — a certified postpartum doula and professional educator.

My background is in biological sciences and adult education, and my work sits at the intersection of applied physiology, mental health, and real life. I understand how bodies work, how people learn, and what it actually looks like when those two things collide in the early weeks with a new baby.

Mt role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to help you understand what’s happening, think clearly about your options, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

The postpartum period is one of the biggest transitions a person can go through, and most families navigate it largely on their own. This work exists because having someone steady who knows the terrain can make a real difference.

Common Questions

  • Most conversations touch on feeding and sleep — those are the two big ones. But we also talk about recovery after birth, relationships with partners or family, identity shifts, infant behavior, and figuring out what’s normal and what’s not.

Sometimes people want help thinking through a decision. Sometimes they just need perspective, strategies, or reassurance. I meet you where you are, and the conversation evolves from there.

  • We talk. It’s a conversation.

I’m a real person and a mom who has sat with lots of families through this stage of life. I’m not a clinician and I’m not here to diagnose or fix you. I listen, answer questions, help you sort through what’s going on, and point you toward resources when that’s helpful.

  • No. This isn’t therapy or clinical mental health care.

My support is focused on the transition into early parenthood — the physical realities, the decisions, and the emotional ups and downs that come with it. It’s part education, part practical guidance, and part having someone experienced in your corner while you figure things out.

  • Anytime.

I connect with people from early pregnancy through the first weeks postpartum. If you work with me prenatally, I’m on call to start supporting you as soon as your baby arrives.

My support focuses on the first three months postpartum, but families sometimes reach out later in the first year when they need help making sense of what’s going on.

  • No — and honestly, it’s often easier to have support in place before things get hard.

Even when people feel prepared, the early weeks with a new baby can shift quickly. Having someone familiar with this stage of life available to talk things through can make a big difference when something unexpected comes up.
