Postpartum Coaching

Early parenthood is a time of profound learning and change. Imagine having a guide to walk this uncertain path with you: someone you can trust like family; someone who understands your experience and won’t judge, like a close friend; and someone who is up-to-date on the latest recommendations and able to provide evidence-based resources, like a provider. That someone is a Certified Postpartum Doula.

  • Care for new moms and families isn’t something I do sometimes; it’s what I do all the time. I am proficient in interacting, empathizing, and cooperating with families who are navigating this very specific experience. I am in tune with the rhythm and dynamics of a household that has just welcomed a new baby. I am skilled in deciphering how I can be of greatest value, even when you can’t articulate what you need.

  • As a postpartum doula I can help, even when you have help. I walk beside you without judgement, bias, agenda, or advice. I approach your care with curiosity, strive to understand your individual values and goals, and help you navigate your experience in a way that aligns with those values and goals.

Every new mother has the power to parent inside of her. You will find your power with or without me. Nevertheless, there is unique value in inviting me into your journey. The essence of my work is in orienting you to your power so you can embrace your journey with boldness and confidence.

Lactation Counseling

Virtual education and guidance for overcoming challenges, making decisions, and learning to breastfeed and/or pump with confidence.

  • 75-minute virtual session with a Certified Lactation Counselor. Includes a curated resource list and text message support for 7 days following the session. $185

  • Breastfeeding is natural, but it doesn’t always come naturally. It’s a skill both parent and baby need to learn. Aligning yourself with a professional guide is one of the best ways you can support yourself in developing that skill.

Challenges with breastfeeding and/or pumping are common, and it’s normal for parents who are learning to breastfeed to second-guess whether they’re “doing it right.” If you’re experiencing pain, having trouble getting baby to latch, worried about your supply, reluctantly considering supplementing with formula, confused, or just plain overwhelmed — I can help.

  • As a lactation counselor, I have extensive theoretical knowledge about the physiology of lactation. As a doula, I have the experience needed to truly see you, then work collaboratively to gain clarity and set your path forward. As a mother, I hold an appreciation for the ambivalence and immense significance of the experience of feeding your baby human milk.

Lactation is an excruciatingly inspiring, complex, and nuanced experience. I balance my use of science and logic with curiosity, compassion, and empathy. Making milk is an embodied, deeply human process, and I strive to support every parent in an individualized and holistic way.

A La Carte Sessions

Open-ended, flexible format sessions to explore any and all topics relevant to the transition to parenthood.

  • Parenthood doesn’t come with instructions, and the initial learning curve is steep. Whether you need unbiased technical information or encouragement to listen within, I can help.

Need help creating a registry or setting up your nursery? Second-guessing whether you’re doing this breastfeeding thing right? Navigating your return to work, sleepless nights, a teething baby, or a massive shift in identity? Struggling to find your power in parenting? Ask me anything.
