🔥 The advice didn’t change. I did.

Sadie Speaks is my personal writing — short, honest essays from the deep middle of things. They started as emails to my list, but they’ve become something more: snapshots of truth, power, and self-return, written in real time.

Something I've been noticing lately is how often I hear advice – particularly advice from people I admire and respect – and instantly reject it. I want to absorb that wisdom, but maybe it rubs me the wrong way, or it doesn't resonate with where I am in the moment.

But here's the wild thing: those pieces of advice – the ones I resist in the moment – often end up being some of the most valuable wisdom down the road.

I've experienced this more times than I can count. The advice just didn't click. It made logical sense in my brain, but my body wasn't able to believe it. But later – sometimes months or years later, after more inner work – it suddenly made perfect sense.

The advice didn't change, but I did. And when I did, it clicked for me in a new way, not just in my mind but in my body. I could feel it land. I could feel the truth of it.

Has this happened to you, too? I'm curious if there's a piece of advice you rejected, only to realize later that it was exactly what you needed. It's inspiring (and, honestly, gives me hope!) how growth and timing can shape what resonates with us. So, next time you hear wise words that you want to believe but aren't quite ready to use, keep them in your back pocket – you might just need them later.

With all my wild heart,

Sadie xo

P.S. If something I said resonated — and you’re craving a space to unpack your own story — you can book a session with me here. I’d be honored to hold that space with you.
